"A job that requires you to be on call
Or work seven days a week.
Maybe you’ve worked one of these jobs. You look good based on what time you respond to an email.
The leader in charge sends out emails requiring responses at weird times to see who’s playing the game. Last one to respond loses. If you didn’t see the email in time then do you really care about your job?
Screw being on call. Constantly having to stress about being available for non-urgent business matters is exhausting. You can’t live a nice life with your family knowing that every minute you’re on call like a hospital nurse.
Solution: exit one company and go to another. ***Does happy dance***" I have been on Covid19 unemployment, and I managed to write, record and produce my newest album, "Everything In Good Time", as well as many articles for Medium. For better or worse, I am taking a job in Car sales at Toyota. Sundays off. But I am already freaking out about not having full weekends for the rest of the summer. I really wanted to go back to work in Sept, but since I just turned 50, which makes me "unhireable", I feel obligated to take the job, as it will give me health insurance in 90 days. I do not know if and when FILMING will resume (I am SAG-AFTRA). And forget about the GYM! Which was where I taught for 22 years. That was a hostile work environment, but I worked out for free (need a pool! It's been 5 months!). My boss to be is very cool, so I am doing it. But I won't lie and say that I am not freaking out right now. www.kamalinden.com
